The Internet works by computers being linked to a network meaning people will be able to communicate by sending messages and photos and also lets them look up information. It lets you communicate to people from all sorts of distances, even on the other side of the world. You request goes to your local power station then to the national one which there is only one in your country and then it goes to Los Angeles to the international Station. And then it comes back to your computer.
