How to measure the Eyeglasses

If you are looking to purchase the goggles online, there is a necessity to select the frame according to the size of your head since you will not be able to try physically those glasses. If size would not be fit to you, you may need to face the inconvenience and that may lead to regret to you and you might not shop that online.
To select a frame according to your head size, you must first get the measurements of the frame. In order to do so, please pass on to the outline below and calculate it accordingly:
·         If you are wearing the glasses right now, check that there should be 3 set of numbers in the inner side of left temple.
·         For instance, it says: 53/17 135, it refers to the following measurements.
1) 53 – Lens Width
2) 17 – Nose Bridge
3) 135 – Temple/Arm length.

Note: All measurements are in millimeter.
According to these numbers, the total frame width is 135 mm. There is a very simple technique to calculate these numbers. Here is the formula which your glasses company chose to measure the frames:
(53*2)+17+12. 53 is the lens and a frame comprises of two lenses that is why they are multiplied by 2. Adding 17, the nose bridge size and 12 extra in order to calculate the side hinges to tight the screws of hinges with the frame.

However, do not get worried if these numbers are not listed on your frame. Some frame does not contain these numbers or they might be vanished from the temple. You can still measure the glasses by using the simple ruler.
See below for the size category by the measurements:

1.Less than 125 mm frame are considered to be Extra Small.
2. Equal to 125 to 130 mm frames are considered to be Small.
3. Equal to 131 to 135 mm frames are considered to be Medium.
4. Equal to 136 to 140 mm frames are considered to be Large.
5. And equal to or greater than 141 mm frames are considered to be Extra Large.

So, now before ordering the eyeglasses online, must calculate these numbers so that you can get the frame as per your size and you do not need to feel the hassle in wearing your favorite spectacles.
